About the Role

As the Short Term Planner – Majors, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality short-term shutdown plans for Emeco’s major assets. You’ll take the approved long-term plan and convert it into executable shutdown scopes that maximise asset value while meeting budget, schedule and resourcing constraints.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage short-term asset shutdown plans through to execution
  • Coordinate pre-shutdown inspections and define accurate scopes of work
  • Build and manage shutdown scopes covering component change-outs, defects and strategic work
  • Coordinate labour, resources, parts and BOMs to ensure shutdown readiness
  • Ensure shutdown scopes are accurately costed and aligned to approved CAPEX and OPEX budgets
  • Submit plans for Central Planning Hub approval and maintain schedule alignment
  • Lead post-maintenance reviews to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement

What you’ll bring

  • Mechanical trade qualification (HME) or degree in planning/management (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Proven experience maintaining heavy mobile earthmoving equipment (CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu)
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Strong understanding of mining operations and equipment productivity
  • Experience using CMMS systems (AMT preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Solid communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Previous experience in a similar shutdown or short-term planning role
