Your Key Responsibilities
- Proactively lead safety culture by translating incident learnings into targeted team improvements and preventative actions.
- Oversee Emeco equipment maintenance to meet operational availability targets.
- Drive performance improvements by providing actionable feedback to crews.
- Collaborate with senior supervisors and planners to execute long-term and daily operational plans seamlessly.
- Manage major shutdowns with external resources to minimise downtime.
- Approve and oversee work plans, purchase orders, and breakdown activities.
- Provide timely machine maintenance assessments and reports so that senior management can manage client requirement schedules.
- Foster strategic communication between teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
What You Bring to the Role
- Australian Working Rights: Full and unrestricted rights to work in Australia; sponsorship is not available.
- Trade Qualification: Australian-recognised certification in Heavy Diesel, Mine Maintenance or Mobile Plant.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead HME Maintenance teams preferably within Queensland surface coal mining.
- Planning and Organisation: Ability to effectively plan resources and manage time.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of statutory requirements and ability to pass relevant competency exams as required.
- Safety Management: Knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act; ability to implement hazard controls and conduct risk assessments.
- Driver's Licence: A valid Australian driver's licence is essential.
- Mining Qualifications: Surface Standard 11, S1,2,3, and G2 qualifications are required for this role.
- Medical: Ability to pass a pre-employment and coal board medical.
