We are seeking a commercially astute and analytical Commercial and Financial Support Officer to assist our regional Maintenance and Commercial teams across our mining operations.

This is a highly visible role partnering closely with General Managers, Workshop Managers and Commercial leaders to provide meaningful financial analysis, commercial insight, and strategic advice. You will play a critical role in delivering accurate reporting, driving cost control initiatives, and supporting profitability across the region.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of monthly Regional Cost and Revenue reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of financial results.
- Support the preparation and reporting of monthly regional financial performance.
- Partner with Site Maintenance and Planning teams to provide financial insights, forecasting, and strategic support to the Regional General Manager.
- Deliver weekly and monthly variance analysis and KPI reporting, identifying trends and performance drivers.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to improve profitability and regional earnings.
- Collaborate with Regional GMs and Workshop Managers to monitor and enhance monthly profitability.
- Oversee key commercial processes including Off-Hire Recovery, contract variations, rise and fall adjustments, and month-end claims preparation.
- Develop and maintain financial tools and templates (including invoice calculators) to improve administrative efficiency and cost control.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), or equivalent
- Experience in an accounting or commercial finance environment, with strong knowledge of financial and management accounting principles.
- Commercial experience within the mining and earthmoving industry, including an understanding of financial reporting requirements and equipment productivity drivers.
- Knowledge in heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance operations and managing capital expenditure programs, including forecasting, cost control and allocation.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels, and communicate effectively across multiple locations while working autonomously.
